choiceofagony: I think people have forgotten the basic supply and demand principles as well as targeted marketing.  Would be more female heroes if the demand was high enough, most boys wanted someone they could be like - also most of these comics were written 50 years ago so they all have their lore and background and radical changes to these would upset the core audience. (Like changing the recipe of coke) Basic business principles here. I think its more that this is based off a long running popular series. There are a lot of female super hero comics, they just haven’t been around long enough to be popular enough to be made into a blockbuster yet….
